*ANNOUNCEMENT* Intramural basketball will begin the week of November 27!!

Where:  Alward Gym

When:  Before School from 8 am -8:45 am.

Who:  Girls on Monday & Wednesday…..Boys on Tuesday & Thursday

There is no cost and no level of experience needed!  We will work on basic skills, drills, and teamwork.  No sign ups!  Come when/if you can!

*In math, we continue to work with fractions and mixed numbers.

*In science, continue to work with our water/dune unit.

*In writing, we continue to focus on organization, development, and editing.

*In social studies, we are charging into our Native American Unit.

*Book Fair!  We are looking today (Monday) and buying on Wednesday at the end of the day!

Hello All!

*This week we started a new math unit…Unit #3.

*In science, we continue to work through topics related to the ecology of the Great Lakes and the Sleeping Bear Dunes.

*We continue to work our way through the writing process….paying special attention to “the details” and how to edit our own work and that of others.

*Continue to read at home…….Blow your reading goal right out of the water!

*Become VERY good friends with your spiral notebooks!  Know them inside and out!  The notes that you are taking are your life line to greater success!

*Stay tuned for information regarding 5th. grade intramurals….I will post official start dates/days for both boys and girls by early next week!

**Bonus Question: What is a spiny water flea, and how do they pose a problem within our Great Lakes? (half page minimum) 😉
