This week in Mr. K’s Room:

  • Daily Comp. morning warm up
  • Math- Unit 1 (Test on Wednesday)
  • Science- C.E.R  & Building our Science Notebook with Necessary Background Knowledge
  • Read-a-loud:  OUT OF MY MIND

Homework:  Any class work that is not finished at the end of the day should be taken home as homework.  We also expect students to read for a minimum of 150 minutes per week at home.

Extra Credit: LVAD 

*1/2 – 3/4  page written report….please include a diagram on bottom of the page 🙂

Science-  We continue to build our Science Notebook and work with CER’s

Homework:  I am encouraging students to read at least 30 minutes per night for a minimum of 150 minutes per week. Any work that a student was not able to finish up in class should be taken home as homework.

Welcome back to school!

Upcoming dates: 

September 6 – Fundraiser money and orders must be turned in. The cost for our Greenfield trip is $50.00 per person (this includes the cost for tickets to the village and museum as well as the bus ride). Once we receive the students’ orders, we will send out a payment sheet letting you know what your child earned and what, if anything, they still owe to go on the trip. If your child earned extra funds, the $ will be kept in their account and used  for 5th grade camp in the spring.

**Students earn $1.50 per item sold (fundraiser)

September 14 – Early release for students at 12:15.
